There are heroes… there are superheroes… and then there’s Hancock (Will Smith).
With great power comes great responsibility – everyone knows that – everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock’s well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough – as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy.
Hancock isn’t the kind of man who cares what other people think – until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock’s greatest challenge yet – and a task that may prove impossible as Ray’s wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), insists that he’s a lost cause.

Early 18th century. Cartographer Jonathan Green undertakes a scientific voyage from Europe to the East. Having passed through Transylvania and crossed the Carpathian Mountains, he finds himself in a small village lost in impassible woods. Nothing but chance and heavy fog could bring him to this cursed place. People who live here do not resemble any other people which the traveler saw before that. The villagers, having dug a deep moat to fend themselves from the rest of the world, share a naive belief that they could save themselves from evil, failing to understand that evil has made its nest in their souls and is waiting for an opportunity to gush out upon the world. Even in his worst nightmares our materialistic scientist could not suppose that he was going to meet devil’s faithful servant.

Donny, just under thirty and single, works as a columnist and reviewer in Stockholm. Cold and cynical, he doesn’t need anybody. Donny is always in control, or so he thinks. As a powerful storm approaches Stockholm, a remarkable young woman comes into his life. The beautiful Lova is being chased by violent man who want something from her. She gives Donny a metal box which she says he must guard with his life and then disappears. And so does the storm. From then on, Donny’s safe little world is turned upside down and everything he relies on is torn apart. The murder of a woman is pinned on him and Donny now has to flee, hunted by the police and by Lova’s pursuers, led by the ruthless “Guardian”. But there’s no one to turn to and nowhere to go.
Storm starts out as a flashy and surprisingly gory action film, but then gradually morphs into a multi-layered psychological study of a troubled young man. Fast paced, visually exciting and with enough plot twists to satisfy the most jaded filmgoer, Storm has all the makings of a cult hit. The versatile story is as much a journey for the audience as for its main character and many of the questions raised, is all this happening or is it Donny’s imagination, are never really answered, heightening the sense of unease. Co-directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein have created a dark, intriguing web where action, drama, comic books and computer games meet.

Acclaimed director Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case, Brain Damage, Frankenhooker) is back with a twisted tale of love and weirdness. Driven by biological excess, a young man and woman search for sexual fulfillment, unaware of each other’s existence. Unfortunately, they eventually meet, and the bonding of these two very unusual human beings ends in an explosive and ultimately over-the-top sexual experience, resulting in a truly godawful love story….
With bizarre special effects by Gabe Bartalos, a hip-hop soundtrack from Prince Paul, and shot in glorious 35mm, Bad Biology is guaranteed to shock even the most desensitized of audiences.

In 1943, a group of Croatian fascists overtake a strategically important point in western Bosnia and capture a group of Muslims. The Croatians keep them as hostages until the next group arrives to replace them. The main character Martin kills one of the Muslims and steals his watch.
This act connects to the story in 1993 when we meet Martin’s grandson Tomo. He is one of six soldiers of the Croatian army who have come to the same place in Bosnia. They fight a group of Bosnian soldiers and capture those they haven’t killed. In order to leave the place they have to kill the rest. We also find out that one of the captured soldiers is the grandson of the Muslim killed by Tomo’s grandfather.
