Special treatment for oxymorons

CSF protest poster Having threatened to go on hunger strike until The Da Vinci Code is banned in India, it looks like the Catholic Secular Forum (CSF) may be getting their way.

The government will take a final view on the release of the controversial movie The Da Vinci Code tomorrow evening, by when it will receive comments from members of the Catholic-Christian community.

Earlier in the day, the government had organised a special screening of the movie for Catholic-Christian organisations, who are demanding a ban on the film based on Dan Brown’s novel that contends Jesus was a family man.

Dasmunsi has shirked al responsibility for the release of the film, claiming that this will be decided as per the feedback received from religious organisations.

Update

According to The Melon Farmers, the film has been cleared for release in India. Censors gave it an adult rating but said disclaimers stating it was fiction were needed at the beginning and end.
