Leicester secularists love free speech

Jerry Spinger demonstrations in Leicester

Jerry Springer: The Opera opened at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester on Monday and the ‘Stop Springer’ campaigners were out in force - or as close as they could manage.

Hearteningly, the Leicester Secular Society also turned up in support of freedom of speech. And they outnumbered the nutters.

(via MediaWatchWatch who have discovered that a cople of hardy souls also turned up in Birmingham to support free speech.)

Leicester Secular Society and Secular Hall feature prominently in the new BBC educational CD “Secular Believers”.

BBC Education is taking orders, £9.99 a disc, at 08701 272 272, but will only sent to a school address.

The society is raising funds to renovate the hall and bring it up to date - we have great plans!
