Retro Seduction Cinema is to issue a 30th Anniversary Edition of Al Adamson’s science-fiction sex comedy, Cinderella 2000. This will be the first time that this film is released on DVD.
According to DVD Drive-In:
Drive-in movie legends Al Adamson and Sam Sherman (Dracula vs. Frankenstein, Blazing Stewardesses ) created some of the most outrageous, colorful and beloved ‘B’ pictures ever to hit the silver screen. Adamson’s Cinderella 2000 takes the popular Brothers Grimm fairy tale into the farthest reaches of a way-out future and puts an Orwellian spin on it…with a helping heaping of sexy shenanigans tossed in for good measure.
The release date for this title is October 3rd.

According to the following press release, The Garden - a story-driven and atmospheric horror film starring Lance Henriksen - is to see its DVD release on July 11th.
On July 11 th IDT Entertainment’s Anchor Bay Entertainment, the acknowledged industry leader in horror DVD programming, presents the DVD premiere of The Garden , the latest exercise in terror from the fertile mind of acclaimed writer/producer Stephen J. Cannell (“The A Team”, “Hunter”, “Profit”, “21 Jump Street”). Starring Lance Henriksen ( Aliens, Near Dark ), Claudia Christian (“ Babylon 5,” The Hidden ) and Sean Young ( Blade Runner, Stripes ), The Garden digs deep into the greatest fears of civilization itself and will take viewers on a mind-bending journey, possibly to the end of times! Seeded with a bushel of value-added bonus features including audio commentary from the director and exclusive behind the scenes footage, The Garden promises a harvest of thrills for the casual and ardent “horror”-ticulturalist! SRP is $19.98 and pre-book date is May 31st.
Sam (Adam Taylor Gordon) is a boy with big problems: he is besieged by nightmares (sometimes religious in nature), he cuts himself and he’s recently been released from a mental hospital. When he and his recovering alcoholic father (Brian Wimmer) are involved in an auto accident, they are forced to stay on a ranch owned by the enigmatic Ben Zachary (Henriksen). Soon, Sam’s dark visions become frighteningly real. Even Sam’s benevolent teacher (Young) gives no comfort. Amid the wheat stalks and horse trails, the dead walk, evil is everywhere and Sam fears that an apocalyptic prophecy might come to pass. Produced by Stephen J. Cannell and Michael Dubelko, directed by Don Michael Paul and written by Samuel Bozzo, The Garden is a provocative horror thriller about the battle for the soul of mankind – waged within all of us.

It looks like Russ Meyer’s Valley Of The Dolls and Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls are finally about to receive full DVD treatment if the following press release is anything to go by:
Get twelve steps closer to superstardom as Fox Home Entertainment exposes Hollywood’s most shaming secrets when Valley Of The Dolls and Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls debut on DVD June 13, 2006. These two legends of camp – from the twisted minds of scandal-making sixties icon Jacqueline Susann, (actress, author, screenwriter and thinly veiled subject of Valley Of The Dolls), and midnight movie kingpin Russ Meyer (Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill!) respectively – horrified critics and enthralled audiences when they opened in theaters and have both remained cult classics ever since. Valley Of The Dolls stars Oscar winner Patty Duke (The Miracle Worker), Barbara Parkins (Peyton Place) and Sharon Tate (The Beverly Hillbillies) as three aspiring starlets who let Hollywood go to their heads. The Valley Of The Dolls DVD arrives loaded with pulpy bonus programming, including the famously sloppy screen test by Judy Garland, as well as original featurettes, “Pill Pop-Up Karaoke,” and much more. Penned by now-famous film critic Roger Ebert, the outrageously over-the-top Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls earned an X-rating on its quest to out-do the scandalous original with the story of a girl-band, The Carrie Nations, who arrive in Hollywood to find only sex, drugs and sleaze. Featuring doll-induced performances by non-actors from the rock and adult film communities, Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls is a shameless classic that proves “all are available for a price.”
