Worldwide distribution for Peter’s Price
Groupthink Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based independent film production company, announced yesterday that its latest film, Peter’s Price, directed by Groupthink Founder Mitchell L. Cohen, has been selected by Big Film Shorts, one of the country’s largest distributors of short films, for worldwide distribution this autumn.
Big Film Shorts, which represents numerous favorites and award-winning films from the Sundance, Telluride and Cannes festivals, specializes in short films as well as other media and formats. Big Film Shorts’ core business is its extensive film library, which contains shorts in a variety of genres, lengths, formats and national origins.
“I am extremely excited and proud that Big Film Shorts picked up Peter’s Price and am thrilled that it will be seen by people across the globe,” said Cohen. “Peter’s Price is a truly special film and I hope that audiences will connect with the story and the message it tells.”
Peter’s Price, a neo-noir drama, tells the story of a bank manager robbed at gunpoint by a man who turns out to be a former childhood friend. Unable to continue with the violent act, the criminal forces his old buddy to catch up on where their lives have gone over the last eighteen years. The film explores how individuals may or may not change as people over the years and how the choices one makes growing up affects the rest of their lives.
Peter’s Price sold out its screening at Mann’s Chinese Theater during the FAIF Film Festival and followed up this success playing such notable festivals as Newport Beach International, Los Angeles International Shorts and San Francisco Independent.
Cohen is currently working on the pre-production for Amphetamine Logic a crime thriller set in the world of crystal meth manufacturing based on an acclaimed short story by Nathan Cain.
