So I started watching the election on Tuesday night and - partly because the delays between nuggets of actual news were so large, and partly because the BBC coverage was pretty dire - I found myself turning to the internet to see what conversations were going on. And, at this point, not much was happening and no-one was really saying anything…
… until I turned to Twitter who had an election stream set up and the comments were flying by. It was fascinating, if not illuminating and - consequently - I have overcome my resistance to microblogging.
This is all a long way of saying that I have finally signed up to both Twitter and Jaiku and will be digging around in the very near furure to see what WordPress plugins are available.

You may have noticed a bit of a hiatus on the site over the last week or so. This has been a result of me being out of the country enjoying a bit of sun, but no sea. But now I’m back and normal service will be resumed just as soon as I figure out what it means to be normal.
However, I have noticed a rather worrying gap in my inbox. So if you’ve sent me an email at any time in the last eleven days and I haven’t replied to you yet, it may be safest if you email me again.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

And, after a brief hiatus caused by an exceeded bandwidth, we’re back. Blog sexiness will be temporarily toned just as soon as I figure out what makes a blog sexy.

I’m told by the nice people at Wikio that Savage Popcorn is the 80th most popular film blog in their index.
So does that make me the Sin City of movie bloggers?

Being a bit of a social networking tart, I have signed up to far too many of these things, many of which I never return to. So Mugshot looks a bit handy in that it allows you to bring many of these disparate activies together on a single page. So I signed up.
And once they sort out a Flixster feed, I’ll be well happy.

That’s me done for another year and I shall be spending the next couple of weeks over-indulging and absolutely not blogging at all. So here’s wishing all the best for the festive season and see you in 2008.
In the meantime, here’s a seasonal video for you to enjoy and a carol to sing along to.

I’m a sucker for internet memes, and I picked this one up from Adventures in Ethics and Science. All you have to do is go back through your blog and post the first sentance from the first post for each month.

If you check out any of the comments on any of the posts, you should start to notice an icon appearing next to each of the comments. These are coming from the revamped and much improved Gravatar site.
If you head on over you can get an icon of your own which will appear not just on this site but on any Gravatar enabled blog.

After a fair bit of tinkering, I have now incorporated an Amazon aStore on this site.
It probably needs a bit of tuning, but give it a go and let me know what you think.
