Viral marketing

Kristina at Stale Popcorn expresses the frustration that I - and hopefully others - have felt when faced with the sort of interminable viral marketing campaigns that the major film studios insist on inflicting on us far too often.

Release a trailer. Not pics, not lame posters like the shit in this post. Release a TRAILER. Is that so much to ask?

And she’s right. Teaser posters, clever websites and all the rest might make the marketing folks feel good about themselves, but for the rest of us they just leave the film feeling stale long before it’s released.
