George Galloway loses his mind. Again
George Galloway gave an interview to Algerian newspaper El Khabar. BBC Monitoring translated it and David T at Harry’s Place has reproduced the translation.
Galloway on the Muhammed Cartoons Controversy:
Personally, I condemn these barbaric and evil acts. Today, the objective of the Western states is to control the oil of the Muslims whatever the price. In fact, the cartoons published in Denmark did not surprise me because the Western states have been waging fierce attacks against Islam for years. These began by humiliation, insults and then occupation. Today they reached the point of ridiculing the prophet. This incident is worse than the 11 September attacks in the US and the 7/7 incidents in London.
If anyone ever finds out what bus I take to work, please… draw some pictures.
Furious George does seem to have a high opinion of himself, as was revealed when he was asked about his recent arrest in Egypt:
[Halimi] Were the Egyptian security services aware of who you were when they arrested you?
[Galloway] Yes, they knew who I was. I told that policeman: Do you know who I am?
I thought that only happened in bad sitcoms.
He then goes on to salute the indefatigability of Muslims in general and Algerians in particular, although not that of Ali Dilem, I notice. Can’t think why.
On a completely unrelated note. If you do a Google image search for Galloway, this is the first page that comes up.
