Paths of Resistance
The story Paths of Resistance began as a movie idea by Robert Popolizio in October 2004. It initially started as scribble on napkins and paper . As the story of the protagonist Tommy Dempsey and the abstract people in his world expanded and grew , ideas were fleshed out and interwoven. Eventually the developed handwritten story was put into the computer and tweaked until a 114 page feature length screenplay was completed in May of 2006. Because he wanted to make the film himself, Robert was adamant in his unwillingness to shop the screenplay to be sold. He contacted an old art school friend Vincent Torretta and soon after they formed their own production company. Together they decided to shoot a short promotional featurette that they would be able to show to investors. They feel confident that funding will be raised and this script will find it’s true home. On the Silver Screen.
